New Year’s Day We take a relaxed drive south to Rotorua, centre of thermal activity. After a dip in a hot pool a Maori guide will take us to a recreated “Maori Village” where “traditional” Maoritanga (Maori culture) is vividly re-enacted. The Maori concert and hangi (dinner from an earth oven) seldom fails to impress.
