Day 16 The mighty Southern Alps are shaped by the collision of the continental and Pacific tectonic plates. These Alps catch the rain clouds and release their contents which eventually feed into places such as Lake Matheson whose waters so perfectly reflect the mountains above that reflection and source seem indistinguishable and around which we stroll at sunset.
